Worldwide Difference
Enough food exists to feed the world’s 7 billion people, but every night one of nine people go to bed hungry.
You can make a difference!
Join a packing event on April 24th, 25th & 26th at one of the host sites. Help pack 300,000 meals for Middle Eastern refugees and 8,000 seed packs for distribution by Unto partners in Africa, Latin America, Central Asia, and the Middle East.

Meals
Seed Packs
The meals we pack will be sent to Middle Eastern Refugees who have no access to food and housing. These meals will provide a nutritious amount of essential vitamins and minerals for the malnourished.
The vegetables we pack provide more than nourishment — they create sustainability and economic opportunity. Our Unto partners in Africa, Latin America, Central Asia, and the Middle East help communities experiencing poverty by teaching them how to cultivate gardens and establish lasting, self-sustaining food sources. Join us as we prepare 8,000 Seed Packs.

Packing Hope
In partnership with UNTO, we are packing 6,000 school packs for children around the world.
Many schools lack adequate supplies and even might simply gather under a tree. In poverty cases, families cannot afford school uniforms or the extra expenses of school supplies.
Going to school in the toughest places is not easy. You can help build hope into the next generation to build a brighter future.

Refugees and Hunger
All around the globe, hunger and malnutrition claim lives while crippling the advancement of individual communities. The United Nations reports that childhood hunger is responsible for the deaths of 6.5 million children under the age of five each year. With over 68 million refugees and displaced people in the world today, half of those are children under 18 plagued by malnutrition.
Meals that will be packed by us will be delivered to Middle Eastern refugees through the partnership with Unto.
Doing food packing that is so very needed and also praying for those who receive it is one of the best ways all year that I feel God’s presence. It really is providing for the orphans and widows and those in real need. It is also a good way to meet some great people who want to help others.
I loved participating in PackHope because you know every bag packed brings hope to someone somewhere in the world AND you have fun packing it with friends and family. It makes me feel good to do it.

FAQ
What should I wear?
Hair nets (and beard nets) will be provided. If you have a ball cap that you’d like to wear instead, please bring that along.
For meal packing at Harvest Fields: Closed toed shoes and comfortable clothing. You’ll be standing the entire time.
For school packing in Lewistown, Penns Valley, Tyrone or Fraser St Commons: You will be sitting down at a table so whatever is comfortable for you!
What time should I arrive?
Check-in opens 15 minutes before each session starts. There will be a check-in table with greeters who will assign you to a station.
How do I make sure I am at a station with my friend/group?
Before you check in, please gather your group, family or friends to ensure that you will be at a table together.
Do I have to attend a training?
No. Training occurs when the sessions starts.
Can my child participate?
Foodpacking at Harvest Fields: ages 7 and up are able to help pack. This is not a drop-off event though, so children under 18 should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
School packing at Lewistown, Tyrone, Penns Valley or Fraser St Commons: Ages 3 and up are able to help pack. This is a great family friendly event.
What should I expect during my 2 hour session?
Once you are checked in, you will be assigned to a station coach who will take the group to the hairnet table and have you wash your hands before heading in to get started.
Each station consists of about eight people who will repackage the bulk supplies into individual family-sized meal packs. You should expect to stand the entire time so wear comforable shoes.
Also expect to have fun! Many who serve come back year after year or even come back for a second session in the same day. We play music, we laugh, we have fun!
Why should I volunteer my time?
An average American is not concerned about where their next meal is coming from or when they’ll get to eat their next meal. However, our world is filled with poverty and thanks to the organization Unto, they take the meals we pack to the malnourished, and spread kindness. Not only do they provide meals, but they also provide other supplies to help improve the quality of life. 2 hours of your time helps SIGNIFICANTLY in the world.
